A paper nest is a unique DIY Easter decoration that you can easily make in just a few minutes. You can use any color of paper that you would like, to make a paper nest, and you can even incorporate paper with fun designs on it. When you make this kind of Easter décor, use some of your old newspapers and magazines.

You can make a paper nest by shredding your paper in a paper shredder or cutting it into small strips. After you have done that, blow up a balloon to be as wide as you’d like your nest. Mix one part decoupage glue and finish it with one part of water. Paint the top half of the balloon with the decoupage mixture. Cover the painted area of the balloon entirely with strips of paper.

Continue to paint the layers of paper with decoupage mixture and add paper until you get the size you’d like. Let it dry for 12 hours, then pop the balloon to reveal your nest. Fill them up with decorated eggs or candles.

Crepe paper egg wreath

This unique and cute wreath is not easy to find in stores. To start making this Easter decor, get a wire wreath of any size and enough papier-mache eggs of any size also – you can mix various sizes to cover the wreath. Cut crepe paper of different shades into strips that are three and a half inches wide and 6 inches long. Cover each egg completely with paper strips and use hot glue to secure the ends of the strips to the eggs.

When the eggs are all covered, hot glue them to the wire wreath until it’s covered. After this, wrap some six-inch flower wires in green crepe paper so it will form leaves on the ends. Group the "leaves"  together and then glue it onto the wreath in the open spaces between eggs. Next, adjust the leaves to your liking and hang the wreath for everyone to admire.

Egg flower vases

This easy DIY décor for an apartment is such a simple and chic way to combine the fun of Easter with the beauty of nature. To start making this, poke a small hole at the top of an egg and continue to poke it slowly until the opening is big enough for you to empty the yolk and whites (about ½ inch should be enough).

Use hot-glue to secure the egg upright onto the surface of your choice, such as a festive tea saucer or a small piece of flat wood. Fill the egg with water and add a little flower. If you want the eggs to be colorful, dye them before you open them.

Egg ornaments

This kind of DIY Easter décor is excellent to hang on a tree, or you can combine a few to make a garland that spans your fireplace mantle.

Egg ornaments are an easy way to make apartment décor for Easter and a budget-friendly way to invite the Easter spirit into your apartment.

To make this easy Easter decor, start by cutting out four identical eggs on sheets of paper. You can use different colors and patterns or use, all the same - it’s up to you. Fold each egg vertically in half.

The next thing you’ll do is to paint a thin layer of glue along one half of one egg, then match it up with half of another egg and press firmly, to secure them together. Repeat the procedure for the other two eggs, so you have two identical pieces. After they are attached, the two eggs will make up one egg.

Then attach a piece of string into the center of one half of the ornament, and apply glue to one half of the egg, attaching it to the other half, covering the string in the center. Lastly, tie the top of the string into a loop and hang it up.

Renters are not always eager to decorate their homes for the every day, but during Easter time, many people are excited to decorate in preparation for the celebration of the holiday.
